Project Life February 2012

I've talked a little bit about my scrapbook organization and actual ways I scrapbook purposefully yet simply. For the last four years I have done Project Life is the perfect plan for those who don't think they have enough time, money, creativity or desire to be a scrapbooker yet want to document their family's life. I won't go into much detail but I will say it is how I do the majority of my scrapbooking now, outside from blogging. And blogging has become, for me, a huge part in capturing our lives.

Please click on the Project Life link above. I get nothing for this little promo but it's something I enjoy and am totally committed to. Go explore Becky Higgin's website and feel free to ask me any questions you may have.

This year I am doing my album a little differently. Instead of a picture a day and trying to journal a short amount each day, I am grouping more by event, such as birthdays, holidays, family gatherings, etc. and trying to do an end of month synopsis. I'm also printing out journaling from my blog to use for the layouts themselves. Here is one week's layout from our 25th Wedding Anniversary Celebration.

For this album I do very little embellishing, although I do use memorabilia quite often. I hope to share more pages in the future to encourage those of you who want to document your lives but don't want to spend a ton of time or money on traditional scrapbooking.
