Wedding Deal of the Week

Went out of town for 3 days to a scrapbooking retreat and absolutely had a great time! Lots of meaningful conversation, some silliness, way too much food, a hayride and a wee bit of scrapbooking. A good time was had by all!

Here is hopefully the first post of many wedding deals I found over the 7 months planning. Rachel wanted to serve all the food at the reception in round vases and containers. I found 12 of these crystal bowls at  a yard sale for $0.25 apiece. A STEAL! They weren't exactly what she wanted to serve food in but we used some of them for the dips. The rest of them I may sell on Craig's List or keep for some decorative use.

What else could I use these for? Let me know your great ideas!

  1. One thing I like to do with cut class is put some white lights in the bowl mixed with glass Christmas balls. The glass balls and cut glass catch the light and reflections and can be quite lovely.

  2. Put flowers or candles in them. Can put a base down first for candles. You could also fill them with water and then tint the water with food coloring to match your theme, or linens or candles.

Could turn them over and put a smaller tray or bowl on top filled with something as centerpiece(s).

  3. Very pretty bowls, and what a deal. I agree with previous comments. You can do so many other things with the bowls.
