The Perfect Color of Lipstick



What in the world is this about? It is my obsession with lipstick, lipgloss, whatever you want to call it. Maybe not "obsession" but my search for that "perfect" color. I love bright lipstick. Love matching shades with my clothes (although my lips are usually brighter than I am!) Reds, pinks, plums and everything else. Ahhh. I'm sure the day will come when I realize it probably makes me look older or accents the wrinkles or whatever. But not yet.

I do love getting a good deal, though, so I use my CVS extra bucks or find shades at the dollar store. The lipsticks were overflowing the container I keep them in so it was time to let some of those babies go! I decided to humor myself and count them. Can you guess how many I had?

97!!!!

That's just crazy! In my defense, a lot of these have been collecting dust for a while so I set them free. I won't tell you how many I still have. One day I might need that perfect shade of fresh melon, raindrop frost or precious plum.

It has been requested that I not go wild pink or red for my daughter's wedding. By my daughter. I guess she doesn't want my lipstick upstaging her big entrance. Go figure.

    I'm thinking your hubby may have to add an area in your scrapbooking room for your lipstick collection. Hey, you could match your lipsticks with your ribbons. Just sayin'
