MIA

I have been MIA for a few days. So many things going on in my world! Mostly centered around Rachel's wedding. Details, phone calls, orders placed and changed, RSVP's to count, 200 programs to manually print, cut, punch, glue and tie, errands to run (and run and run), last of cookie dough and punch to make and freeze, helpers to coordinate. Some semblance of homeschooling, meals, activities, church. Chiropractor visits for me (that's a new thing.) New season on TV. (Okay, that's not a have to get done but a want to get done! The Mentalist, Hawaii 5-0, Parenthood, Blue Bloods.) Insanity workouts to get in shape.

Are you as exhausted as I am? It's really all good but I've gone from overwhelmed (from our do-it-yourself wedding) to sad (still missing the college boy) to frustrated (not enough hours in the day) to tired (lots of work involved) to grateful (for my family and those that support and encourage me). I knew last year as we were journeying through Joshua's last year in our homeschool and Rachel was anticipating getting engaged that this year would be difficult for me. I don't think I can even imagine the depth to which this will hit me when the wedding is over.

  1. My sweet friend, you are in my thoughts and prayers often. Try to remember that this will be a chapter closing, but there are so many new and precious ones opening too. I believe you will be blessed regularly by the sweet ripening of fruit in their daily lives. (((hugs))) Praying beautiful wedding memories for one of my favorite Mommas. :-)
