It's here
The time I've been dreading all summer
The activity that makes it all seem real
Shopping for college supplies
I can't pretend it isn't happening
No more denials
Chin up
Positive outlook intact
Heart securely locked away
My son is leaving me
Moving on with the next stage of his life
No more homeschooling for him
No longer waiting up at night for him to get home
One less place setting at the table
No more hugs to start our day
New beginnings
New challenges
A new season of life
New beginnings
New challenges
A new season of life
I'll be fine
Really, I will
:(
Really, I will
:(
I feel for you. My son decided not to go away this year just commute back and forth. I didn't want him know how bad I wanted him to stay home. It was a decision he made on his own and I'm so glad he did.

ReplyDeleteTake time to mourn this ending, because we have a God Who mourns too. Then celebrate your new beginning too. God has much joy in store for you, as you see the fruit of your work realized in your son, in ways you never hoped lavishly enough for. Love you. (((hug)))
One word...Skype It can make a big, big difference.
