I am a biological and adoptive mom to five children ranging in age from 13 to 23 and wife to a great husband of 25 years. My life revolves around family, homeschooling, frugal living and learning to enjoy everyday as a gift from God. I want to be transparent in both the trials and blessings, not for my glory by God's. My heart's desire is to encourage other women to serve faithfully in their homes, loving their husbands and children, cherishing and recording the journey no matter the challenges.

Deal of the Week
I get pumped up by bargains. I have yardsaled for 20 years, used double coupons and done CVS shopping to help stretch our dollars. This is not a blog about the frugal life but I thought it might be fun to include some of the deals I find each week.
This week's find was at a yard sale. I have been wanting another set of chargers to use when we have company. (What? Us have company? Not really but it's a noble thought.) I have a set of gold ones and today found a set of eight silver ones for $2 total. The regular price at a craft store is $2 apiece. Score! The two vases are for my daughter's wedding. She is using all different sizes of vases for food presentation. These were $.50 each and I got four!
Have you gotten any great deals this week?
Edited to add: Charger plates add formal elegance to your table setting. Designed to accompany fine china, the plates protect table linens. They are not intended to be use as dinner plates themselves. Basically they are pretty plates that go under the china dinner plate. Mine are plastic. I don't know if they come any other way.
What's a "charger"?
